I have 12 of these LED lights hanging in trees 25 to 75 feet up. Each one has three AA batteries. With LEDs light you'd think would last a few weeks. Nope. As the product description states, you get 12 hours runtime. What does that mean? That means it's about 12 hours until it's time to replace the batteries. I suppose I'mma try and hook them up to an inverter and plug 'em in, 'cause battery operation is useless for my purpose. Changing 36 batteries per night plus buying that many batteries, LOL. That's not happening. Replacing these lights with something un-terrible would cost far, far less. Reckon I might pop by IKEA for some very high quality LED lights. Ahem... (Very high quality, relative to these, that is..)

Used one Christmas and had to change the batteries often. Also pulled it out this year and both the led light and the remote do not work. We put new batteries in both, but still didn’t work. I would rather pay more for something that is going to work.

They're perfect! Attached 2 MoonBright lights to star lanterns I've had for years & they're beautiful, one is lighting up our new yurt. The simple remote makes turning them on/off very easy.

The hanging "clip" or wire doesn't secure to the light fully. It only hold on by pressure.
Not really safe to hang above peoples heads. Needs to go fully through the body of the light.
Light looks great, remote works well, but safety should be number 1, and I wouldn't trust these lights at 8+ feet, unless they are away from any people.

We put star lanterns in our backyard for Christmas. The moonlight led light look perfect and the remote worked beautifully. The light just ate up the batteries. We had to put new batteries in after 6-8 hours. I thought with them being led’s that batteries would last a lot longer then that. But when they were on the light made the stars look beautiful.

These give an even and bright light distribution to give great illumination.
However, when using the timer on the remote control (bought separately) with auto shutoff after 6 hours, brand new batteries only seem to last about two days. These lights really suck up battery juice very quickly.
I recommend them, but don’t use the timer function.

I have been making these frame lanterns for a few years now, but I've been having trouble finding a bright but compact lighting unit for inside. These are what I have been looking for, flameless warmth, and 360 degrees of bright light. I can even put multiple units in a lantern if I need more light. Wonderful. The only thing that would make them better is if they were USB rechargeable.

We were looking for lights to fill our silk lanterns that we got a while ago in Hoi An, Vietnam. The opening is very narrow, but these fit perfectly! They're small but very bright and if you buy the remote separately (which I did), it allows you to dim or make the light flicker like a candle. Very handy if you're going to hang them in a high place. Highly recommend. We were so impressed with them and the service that we bought them a 2ND TIME for our friends and families that we also bought lanterns for during our trip. BOTH times, they were able to delivery within 3 days of ordering. Super fast process. They even sent a little gift to show their appreciation. Awww...thanks you guys!

I've had this paper lantern for awhile and wanted lights for it. My yoga room has an Asian theme and I like mood lighting. I ordered two and they work perfectly.

Most of the lights arrived in perfect condition. One has a cracked casing and it does not respond the same as the others. In general, they all work well and provide a nice glow within the paper lanterns I purchased. Not a full 5 stars since they did not arrive as described. The remote control works well, though not all lights work exactly in tandem. There's a bit of trial and error but the end result is good.

I love these lantern lights! I ordered a couple of these and a remote to see if I would like them. They're very well made and the remote lets you adjust the brightness to 3 levels and....has a fast and a slow flicker option. Looks so pretty in my paper lanterns! I liked them so much that I ordered 3 more with a remote. All the reviews were spot on. They are well worth the cost.

These lights provide plenty of illumination for 20" red lanterns suspended 10 feet above the floor. Really like the three levels of light and flashing options.

I'm using htese lights outdoors in the winter. The quality of light is great--radiates evenly from inside the lantern. The lid on the battery container feels flimsy and I was worried that the screw top wouldn't work on two of the lights, but eventually I got everything together. So far, I am quite pleased with this. Time will tell how these lights hold up to the cold. Happy to have the remote.

These are pretty cool. But be aware you must supply 3 AAA batteries for each light. Also, two of these look better than one in the 12" paper lantern. So, three or four or more as the size goes up. This is not necessary, but they do look better with more lights. The lights work great with the remote that you must buy separately. However, some lights turn on by themselves way too often.

This is intended to only work with remote. Otherwise you need to loosen the battery chamber to shut it off. It is a nice bright little light so as long as you can reach it and it is for limited use all is well; if it is for repeated use - get the remote.

3 AAA batteries are needed for each light, so plan your cost point accordingly.
