I've used these with the remote in three star lights at Christmas and they are a huge improvement over the plug in lights. My only reason for taking one star off is because they are a bit fragile and the spring popped out of the battery area and I couldn't use it anymore so bought another one. They are wonderful

Easy, safe way to illuminate paper lantern. The switch is a bit finicky and I have to squeeze the battery area to ensure proper contact in order that the on and off buttons work. However, the light is adequate, but I ought to have selected one with more lumens as this one is just about that of a candle.

Real cool Independent lights to use without all the cords! Be sure that a remote is included or order one separately so that you can turn them on/off and other fun flickering settings. My floral lanterns look great with these lights!

These lantern lights were just perfect for our event. We wanted to suspend several lanterns in our trees, but with foot traffic and horses, we did not want to run any electrical cables. We hung them earlier, and with the click of a button, lit them all just as the sun set. They gave off a bright, warm glow (not that dim grey light normally associated with LEDs), and lasted through the night well into the next day. A couple were still burning more than 24 hours later when we took them down. I am buying more today so I can add even more lanterns for next year's event. Much better than expected!

I bought 30 of these lights to use in 12" and 10" lanterns. I wanted to light the dance floor without other lighting. I only used about 20-25 and accomplished exactly that. We needed no other light. Nice warm glow. The attached photo is a daytime shot but they were great at night. The remote feature is the best.

I got two of these for my daughter's room. Not very bright, not enough to read by, by nice ambience in her room when she's hanging out. One stopped working so I'm going to see if it's a battery issue or not. Hopefully they will replace it since we've only had it for about two weeks and it was only used twice.

We ordered these in a warm white for our wedding, This product came in and it looks yellowish-green. The color is so off that we actually have to send them back and order the bright white ones. We like the product but the color above is not what it actually looks like.

Had bought a set of 30 in the cool white color light a year or so ago, but always wished the ligth was a bit warmer in color. Until now I had been wrapping gold colored latex ballons over the LEDs of the standard (cool) white light units to help soften the color tempature and was happy to find this new version. Also found a few other nice features over the over design.... see pro/con list for what i feel works/ or doesnt work.

The lights are bright and work well in the Paper Lanterns we are using for my daughter's wedding. Only wish they used 2 batteries instead of 3. That is a little costly when you need to light up 30 lanterns.

Units works exactly as advertised. Very happy with the overall intensity and ability to be controlled remotely as we have them hung well above easy reach. Only thing I had a little trouble with was securing them adequately so as not to fall off with a little wind.

I love the lanterns but I didn't expect the slight green hue. I bought the beige 12" lanterns with the warm white lights. That is the only reason it didn't get five stars. Shipping was fast and my order was perfect with all the lights operational. I wonder if the white lights would have been better. Otherwise, they are awesome.

Bought 80 of these to illuminate lanterns for a wedding. Of them, only 4 didn't work and PLS replaced them right away. They look great, are easy to use, and will make the lantern lighting so easy! We'll be able to hang up the lanterns a day ahead of time, then simply go around the room clicking on the lights with the remote when it's party time. A great buy. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because the event is yet to happen, so I could be wrong. :)

A couple of things I like about these The ability to use a remote to turn them on and off is fantastic. We have ours in nylon lanterns up in trees, so taking them down to turn them off would be a pain. They work up to about 10 ft to turn on the lights and 15ft to turn them off .12 lights are quite bright and the light is very white (the photo shows the light as yellow. It isn't. It is far cooler than an incandescent bulb, so bear that in mind.

My only wish was that it could operate either with or without a remote, as our dog ate the remote (literally!) just days before the party. Thank you SO much for sending a replacement out lightening fast so that in the end, all was well.

It was okay. The LED lights were good but wasn't very bright. But it could be because our place wasn't that dark.
I ordered 16 of these and had two broken ones shipped to me. One was cracked from the head and the other one had missing parts in the battery sockets...
So I would order extras ones just incase they shipped broken ones to you

These lanterns worked great for our wedding. We put them in 20" red paper lanterns and they cast a soft glow. We dimmed the overhead lights and used miniature holiday lights around the perimeter and across two wires, and added 14 lanterns. I did not know that we needed to order a remote for the lights. I was very impressed when The Lantern Store contacted me by email before shipping and asking if I wanted a remote (less than $3). The lights do NOT work without the remote, so you need to order it. They shipped it with my order.
When the lights first arrived, I tried out several of them and could not make them turn on. I sent an email to the paper lantern store and they responded with the following instructions, which worked (I corrected the grammar to help you):
"Instructions: To operate the terminals, pull tab from the remote; it must be removed.There is a battery already in the remote. The remote works, but will not flash any lights on the remote. Three AAA batteries (sold separately) must be inserted into each wireless terminal, and the terminal switched to the "ON" position. Then click the remote "ON" in order for the light(s) to come on. If one terminal does not turn on right away, you can click "ON" again until it does. This will not turn off the other terminals that are already on. ***NOTE: The remote for the white terminal is not on the same frequency as the color changing remote and will not work with the color changing terminals.***"
Finally, I must commend the customer service. When we set up the rehearsal site on Friday morning, we discovered that one of the terminal lights did not operate. I sent an email just before noon and asked for a replacement in time for my Sunday wedding. They assured me they would ship it to me on time, and the next day it arrived at my door step. Great support!
I recommend this product, and especially the Lantern Store's customer service!

They take a lot of batteries, that was the only downside but they worked great in the 20" lanterns. I had previously worried about if they were going to be powerful enough to actually light such big lanterns but they were great! The remote was awesome too! I had an outside wedding with other lights so I do think they were a little drowned out but I would highly recommend them for inside. I would completly forgo these lights if you're outside and just use the lanterns as a prop with no light in it. I would also not use them as a sole source of light because it is dim. Kind of a romantic look. Another great thing is that it shines the exact color of the lantern, so it won't look brownish. Loved these and wish the wedding was inside so they would have been more of a statement.

Overall, great for the money. Emits a nice bright light. I've tested how long 2 lights last and the minimum I've gotten using brand name batteries is 28 hours. Remote works well. I received 9 that were broken (out of 105) and the customer service in fixing the issue was amazing.

I have purchased those hanging battery as I couldn't find any in my country. The shipping was a bit high for the order but i was very surprised as the the hanging battery i ve ordered weren't available the d day. I have been contacted by the company and announced 2 months delay. 2 weeks later I received my order!!!!!!!!

The remote controlled 12 LED hanging battery terminal for lanterns is fantastic! We received them as they were described and in a timely manner. They functioned perfectly for the event in which they were used. We will be purchasing more of these little jewels.
