Easy to assemble and highly durable. We’ve kept it up since December and it’s stayed in place through high winds and storms on the front porch. We purchased the 0.8-watt warm white LED to go with it but it’s a dim from the street. Would have gone brighter in retrospect.

Way easier to assemble than I thought they would be! Pro tip: put a 1W or brighter bulb in there. I used a half-watt, and you can see how the star barely lights up because the plastic is so thick and the color is dark.

The stars were a little complicated to put together, but once assembled they attached to the wires very easily. The day after install, we had crazy winds and none of them blew off. In the past, we would be roaming the neighborhood looking for our lanterns. All in all, very pleased with this purchase.

The star is very well made of sturdy plastic. The color is so rich and looks great on our tree. It was easy to put together but I wish there was a tree topper mount. I ended up crafting one out of shelf cover and made a cone.

I had hoped that the white 20" star lantern I bought could accommodate my own electrical socket & bulb combination, but the hanging arrangement of the star doesn't allow my small L.E.D. bulb to be centered in the star. The bulb is forced into one leg of the star. It still looks nice, but not as nice as I'd hoped. (I originally wanted a larger star — which might have worked better — but it was sold out.)

LOVE THEM! Of course night photos just don't capture how wonderful "Operation Starlight" turned out. Not a big fan of putting up xmas lights and our house is tall and inaccessible, but I really wanted decor. These are perfect hanging under our big drooping box elder trees. I got random 12"-30" lanterns, all three styles. I put the green led lights in 2 of them which look way better than I anticipated. In hindsight, I would have ordered all white lanterns and red bulbs instead of the red lanterns, just in case there is a use for them at another holiday or party (they taken the colored lights well). These are plastic (not coated cardboard as an older review stated). I do reccomend "opening" them indoors, or a warm sheltered climate, as plastic is more brittle in cold and can tear more easily. I increased the lumens from the recommended "1 watt" to a 200lumen candelabra bulb (400lm are too bright (I was reliving the Nat. Lampoon xmas Vaca scene) IMO), but the 1 watt bulbs have surprisingly sufficient brightness for ambiance. I completed Operation Starlight with paper lanterns in all the house windows indoors which are also lovely. It was a bit if an investment but it brings me much joy and I didn't have to untangle a single strand of lights! Highly recommended!

The stars are great and has stood the rains of Seattle and winds upto 35mph. The only gripe is that star center tip is not perfectly aligned in certain stars.

Purchased two stars - love both! When I chatted with Marlin on the Live Chat, he was very helpful in answering questions and placing the order. The stars are well made and although there's a small gap where the light cord goes, it's not a big deal. The star has held up very well on our porch.
