These last a looooooooong time!
By Laurie from Auburn, MA on February 2, 2012
I bought these to put in centerpieces for our wedding, and we had tons left over. They lasted through the entire ceremony and reception, 10am-7pm. We saved the extras and used them two weeks ago for a cocktail party (they were randomly scattered around the house, in vases, candy dishes, etc.) and left them on all day, night, and week. 9 days later, they're still lit (albeit faded). These little buggers had quite the life in them.

If, for some reason, you can't use real tea candles, these are well worth your money.

Pros:
Long lasting!
Cons:
Lots of plastic to throw away. Unless you're seriously restricted from using real candles, just buy tea lights.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Lovely Effect!
By Marilee Karamanski from Madison, WI on February 1, 2012
As a wedding planner in Madison, WI- I've had the occasion to use these to decorate Olin Park. We used over a hundred of these in votive cups on a very high ledge. It would have been a major pain to have to climb up to light real candles after the reception started. With their long lasting battery, they were perfect to create a gorgeous ambience. You can check out the effect in the decor pics here
http://www.plannedspontaneity.net/wedding-games-at-olin/,

Pros:
Lovely warm flickering light. Long lasting. we didn't have any burn out over the course of 13 hours. They're the perfect substitute when a real flame either isn't practical or is dangerous
Cons:
I do enjoy real candles when they're possible. up close, they're clearly not "real" fire.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Great for the price
By Kate from Tucson, AZ on July 22, 2012
I bought five of these LED lights to use in my lanterns and they work wonderfully. If you're just using the lanterns straight out of the box these give off a nice warm glow (I purchased the Amber variety) but I covered some of my lanterns with coffee filters and I could barely see the light coming out of them. Just a note if you are considering painting/decorating your lantern, these aren't the strongest bulbs. They seem like they will last quite a while though and altogether I don't regret the purchase.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Great candle substitute
By A from Philadelphia, PA on February 3, 2012
For our wedding reception, we hung votives from our centerpices. Not wanting them to catch on fire, we used these battery operated candles to help add a candle like flicker to the room without the fire hazard

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Hi! can these be use on the paper lanterns?
By Customer Service on May 29, 2012

Answer:
Please refer to the product information below for the different types of lighting we carry:

- LED tea lights will not fit inside our lanterns as they all have a bottom opening. If you want to hang them inside the lanterns, you would have to create something to hang it with. There are no hanging points on the tea lights itself

- Single Socket Cord Kits. You can use up to 60W bulb to make the event brighter, but if you are going to use the single socket cords, it'll require 1 outlet per socket and that might be a problem for outdoors. Standard type "A" bulbs not included

- 10 socket string lights are end to end (up to 3 sets) for easy lighting (turning on/off) bulbs included, 5 Watts per bulb (10 Sockets = 100 Watts per cord). Limited of space between each lantern.

- 25 & 50 Socket C7 Light String w/bulbs For Lanterns (8"D - 14"D). Good for small - medium lanterns. This string is not end-to-end, limited amount of lighting (7watts per bulb). Limited of space between each lantern (12in). Not end to end.

- Battery Terminals (#AIS-BT) have an unlimited amount of spacing between each lantern. They last only from 5-7 hours, batteries are not included. Two AA batteries would be needed..They only provide a limited amount of lighting (2.5V). Each of them has to be turned on before event. (AIS-BT = Approx 5 watts)

-1 & 3 LED Battery Terminals have an unlimited amount of spacing between each lantern. Lasts a very long time (days). Battery already installed. They are not as bright as other lighting. Each of them has to be turned on before event. White LED gives off a ice color sometimes. (1 LED = approx 5 watts) (3 LED = approx 15 watts)

-12 LED CUBE Light Terminals have an unlimited amount of spacing between each lantern. Lasts 12+ Hours. Battery already installed. Each of them has to be turned on before event. (12LED Cube = approx 20 watts)

-16 LED Battery Terminals have an unlimited amount of spacing between each lantern. Lasts 12+ Hours. Batteries (3x AAA Each terminal) are not included. Each of them has to be turned on before event. (16LED = approx 30 watts)

- Self Install Drop Socket: This kit includes everything you need to light up your lanterns at different lengths and spaced according to your own specifications. This will require installation and electricity. It comes with enough parts for you to make up to 24 drops. For more information, please visit: http://www.paperlanternstore.com/seindrsocoki.html

how do you hang these inside the paper lanterns?

What size laterns are these good for?
By Customer Service on February 3, 2012

Answer:
Hello Stacy,

These are not really suited for paper lanterns, people have used these in paper lanterns, but you would need to tie the flame portion of the candle with a string and affix it to the hook inside the lanterns. There is no actual place in the lantern where you can set the candle.

If you do end up using a string and hanging the candle to the hook of the paper lantern, then the candle would be good to illuminate lanterns up to 12".

Generally, people use the other battery operated terminals to light up the lanterns, such as the hanging battery terminal, 3 Led hanging terminal, or the 16 Led hanging terminal.

Can these tea light candles be used to illuminate a paper lantern?
By Customer Service on February 4, 2012

Answer:
Hello Carrie,

The battery operated tealight cannot sit inside the lantern. There is no place for you to set the tea light. If you wanted to use the tealight to illuminate the lantern, some people have tied a string to the flame of the tealight and hung the tealight from the hook inside the lantern. This seems to work quite well.

Would this work very well with dark blue 8 inch lanterns? Or better off going with AIS-BT since it's a darker lantern?
