Just what I needed
By Lindsay from Vermont on May 7, 2012
The item was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. I actually prefer this light setup to ones that have come with paper lanterns I've purchased in the past.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Little on the short side.
By steve from florida on April 14, 2012
I'd be willing to pay a little more for a cord that was two or three feet longer. Unless you have a perfectly placed receptacle, this cord will come up short if hanging lamp from even an eight foot ceiling. Much more so, even, if you run it through a chain to improve it's looks.
Pros:
works for purpose intended.
Cons:
cord too short

I would recommend this item to a friend.

11 White Cord For Lanterns
By Shirley Cortright from Anaconda, MT on February 3, 2012
I purchased 3 of these to use with the lanterns in my daughters room. Work really well, easy to use. They are doubling for lighting for a Science Fair project at this time. Would deffinitely recommend this item. The price is good as well.
Pros:
Price was good!
Cons:
I purchased 3 would be handy to have something to plug them all into so I can turn then all on/off at once. Not any fault of the item, they work great!

I would recommend this item to a friend.

If I want to hang a cluster of three to four 18-24" round nylon lanterns from the center of a tent, should I order the individual cords with one socket?
By Customer Service on May 7, 2012

Answer:
That is one option, or you can use our battery operated terminals such as the 16LEDBT http://www.paperlanternstore.com/12ledhabatef.html (approximately 30 watts, required 3 AAA batteries not included) together with fishing wire. Our double or triple socket cord kits are used more in a horizontal direction.

is this cord used for only 1 lantern? if i order 50 lanterns, do i need 50 cords?
By Customer Service on August 7, 2012

Answer:
Yes, this cord would be meant for one lantern. If needing more lanterns on our cord we do carry 10 socket cords http://www.paperlanternstore.com/10soblcowlib.html or 25 socket cords ( 12" spacing between each socket, if using bigger lanterns may skip a bulb) http://www.paperlanternstore.com/25soc7whliw.html.

By Rita from Virginia on August 8, 2012
There is a light plastic "thing" that came in the bag with the star? Is this supposed to be secure to keep light bulb from hitting the star? It goes around the light bulb, but feels flimsy.

Thanks,
Rita
By Customer Service on August 9, 2012

Answer:
Yes, you are correct. Once the tabs are folded into each other around the bulb, a plastic cage is essentially built around the bulb. To prevent the bulb from directly touching the lantern.

By Sandra Harvey from Wichita,KS on July 12, 2012
What is the diameter of the plug which holdsd the light bulb ?
By Customer Service on July 12, 2012

Answer:
The diameter of the socket that the bulb will screw into is approximately 1.5 inches. You may use up to a 60 watt standard A household type bulb.

By John from st. louis, mo on August 13, 2012

By Customer Service on August 15, 2012

Answer:
The in line switch will be closer to the end plug.

I am purchasing 4-5 paper lanterns for a bedroom. What do I need in terms of bulbs and cords? I couldn't find anywhere on the website what comes with the lantern or what I need to purchase with them.
By Customer Service on February 29, 2012

Answer:
If you are wanting to use 4-5 lanterns in the bedroom, you can do the following:

- LED tea lights will not fit inside our lanterns as they all have a bottom opening. If you want to hang them inside the lanterns, you would have to create something to hang it with. There are no hanging points on the tea lights itself

- Single Socket Cord Kits. You can use up to 60W bulb to make the event brighter, but if you are going to use the single socket cords, it'll require 1 outlet per socket and that might be a problem for outdoors. Standard type "A" bulbs not included

- 10 socket string lights are end to end (up to 3 sets) for easy lighting (turning on/off) bulbs included, 5 Watts per bulb (10 Sockets = 100 Watts per cord). Limited of space between each lantern.

- 25 & 50 Socket C7 Light String w/bulbs For Lanterns (8"D - 14"D). Good for small - medium lanterns. This string is not end-to-end, limited amount of lighting (7watts per bulb). Limited of space between each lantern (12in). Not end to end.

- Battery Terminals (#AIS-BT) have an unlimited amount of spacing between each lantern. They lasts only from 5-7 hours, batteries are not included. They only provide a limited amount of lighting (2.5V). Each of them has to be turned on before event.

-1 & 3 LED Battery Terminals have an unlimited amount of spacing between each lantern. Lasts a very long time (days). Battery already installed. They are not as bright as other lighting. Each of them has to be turned on before event. White LED gives off a ice color sometimes. (1 LED = approx 5 watts) (3 LED = approx 15 watts)

-16 LED Battery Terminals have an unlimited amount of spacing between each lantern. Lasts 12+ Hours. Batteries (3x AAA Each terminal) are not included. Each of them has to be turned on before event.

- Self Install Drop Socket: This kit includes everything you need to light up your lanterns at different lengths and spaced according to your own specifications. This will require installation and electricity. It comes with enough parts for you to make up to 24 drops. For more information, please visit: http://www.paperlanternstore.com/seindrsocoki.html

The span of the terminals are determined by the battery life. We recommend using fishing string for hanging with battery terminals.
